Well this is my second monster high custom, I think she turned out much better than the first! She is kind of a combo of Japanese and Chinese, so there are some mixed cultural references in her bio. There are also things in her bio you'd only get if you've read Holt Hyde's journal. In Japanese her name is supposed to mean "Red Dragon."

MONSTER PARENTS: The Dragons
KILLER STYLE: I like showing off my culture. I love all the bright colors and patterns of the kimonos.
FREAKY FLAW: When I get angry my nostrils start to smoke, and if I don't calm down I start breathing fire! anything within 5 ft gets singed.
PET: Kasei, a cute little fire salamander with a big attitude just like me!
FAVORITE ACTIVITY: Watching hanabi (fireworks) on New Year's Eve. I wish dragons could breathe fire like that!
BIGGEST PET PEEVE: Holt Hyde always trying to be hotter than me. I mean come on, I'm a dragon remember? I don't care if your head is on fire boy, I'll always be hotter than you!
FAVORITE SCHOOL SUBJECT: Mad Science, I like watching the chemicals explode!
LEAST FAVORITE SCHOOL SUBJECT: Clawculus. It's just so confusing, even if I use an abacus.
FAVORITE COLOR: Red, it brings good luck.
FAVORITE FOOD: Wings hot enough to make Holt Hyde cry!

I don't know about that one.
They don't seem to have anything in common other than being from Japan.
You know, Yasu sounds kind of punk/goth to me and I kind of imagine Akai being a snotty prep
